Often we are asked about the shelf life of Lavylites products. We contacted the company and researched in the EU documents. The result is as follows. The relevant regulation* of the EU describes the shelf life of cosmetic products:
"Indication of the date of minimum durability … for cosmetic products with a minimum durability of more than 30 months … shall be an indication of the period of time after opening for which the product is safe and can be used without any harm to the consumer. This information shall be indicated … by the symbol shown in point 2 of Annex VII followed by the period (in months and/or years);"
Therefore, the products can be stored unopened for more than 30 months. I know by the way no one with a product so long unused. After opening, it can be used as many months as the imprint is displayed.
By the way, the ideal storage temperature is room temperature. The summer is hot and the winter frosty. Ergo never keep it in the car.
